This article is a stub. You can help the Deadlock Wiki by expanding it.

An Update is a new version of the current build of a game that adds and adjusts content. Said content typically includes new or adjusted game modes, balance changes, and bug fixes. Deadlock gets updated several times a week and not all changes are recorded in patch notes. This page contains only changes what are listed on the Official Deadlock forum and some that were discovered by other sources after the fact. Update times are based on the Pacific Standard Time zone (PST) of Valve Corporation's headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.

Deadlock is currently in an open alpha state running on Build 5,282 - last updated Oct. 18th 2024.

    • Troopers no longer change soul sharing rules after laning phase ends (meaning 2 heroes don't split souls)
    • Hero Kill gold increased from 150->1400 to 175->2000 (0 min to 45 min)
    • Guardians will now focus their attack on enemy players if an enemy player shoots a hero and the enemy player is within 15m of the Guardian

    • Moved 8 neutral camps (4 on each side) from outside the outer lanes behind the Walkers to in between inner and outer lanes

  • Added Hero Lab mode with 6 new heroes (Holliday, Calico, Wrecker, Fathom, Viper and Magician).

    • AP no longer granted for Walkers, AP/Souls no longer granted for Shrines and Patron (redestributed along soul reward line)
    • Urn comeback properties now at 8% net work lead, drop-off location now variable based on team ahead being closer to losing team side.
    • Guardian resist vs troopers scales from 60% to -35% at 8 minutes.
    • Guardians resist vs players scales from 40% to -35% at 8 minutes.
    • Walkers not have resist vs troopers and players scales from 60% to -30% at 14 minutes.

    • Redesigned stairs from central canal to the outer lanes (near Urn spawn).

October 18, 2024 Update
  • Ranked Matchmaking Update:
    • Adjusted the matchmaking schedule to not be split across many different hours throughout the day, primarily to help address queue times. There will now be a wider continuous, but more concentrated, set of hours that it is enabled in. The schedule is now more simplified as well, as there is no more user selection component.
    • Ranked now has weekend specific hours (starts 5 hours earlier)
    • Fixed some regions (South America, Oceania, Asia) that were off by 1-2 hours from their intended times
October 15, 2024 Update
  • Urn now reveals you after 20s from initial pickup
  • Urn sprint changed from +3/5 for winning/losing team to +2/6
  • First flex slot is now granted after 3 Guardians die instead of 4
  • Base kill bounty reduced from 225 to 150 (still scales to 1400 over time)
  • Respawn time at 20 minutes reduced from 45s to 40s
  • T3 Golden Statues spawn time moved from 25 min to 30 min
  • Range to attack lane Guardians increased from 19m to 20m

  • Pause no longer restricted before 3 minutes (we plan to bring this back in the future, but we want to allow this for now while we are early and have technical issues sometimes)
  • Torment Pulse now scales with cooldown again
  • Torment Pulse power scaling reduced from 0.33 to 0.3
  • Fixed Ethereal Shift scaling with duration
