“Snipes the unsuspectingVindicta has the mobility to engage at her leisure, picking at her prey and bleeding them out slowly. Injured enemies at any distance should fear being picked off when she is on the map.
Vindicta is a mobile and powerful marksman, engaging and picking off her targets from a distance. Using her Crow Familiar to initiate fights by bleeding her targets, Vindicta may launch into Flight to keep her distance from enemies and tether them with a Stake in the ground while targeting them with her powerful rifle. Enemies that are near-death should fear her ability to Assassinate at long-range with a devastating sniper shot.
A witch who was killed by John Hathorne during the Salem Witch Trials of the 1600s, Vindicta returned to this world during the first Maelstrom. Seeking to protect her fellow supernatural entities, Vindicta is waging a war against the Neo-inquisitorial "Friends of Humanity".
Abilities[edit | edit source]
- Bonus spirit damage is affected by weapon damage fall-off.
- The 1 ability point upgrade does NOT increase Vindicta's base Ammo capacity by 50%, it only increases her Ammo capacity by 50% of her base Ammo. This means that it will increase her ammo capacity by the same amount every time and will not affect other sources of Ammo increase such as Titanic Magazine.
- Vindicta will remain scoped after firing an Assassinate shot as long as there is at least one ability charge remaining.
- The damage scales up from 50% to 100% after one second of being scoped.

Background[edit | edit source]
“A victim of John Hathorne during the Salem Witch Trials, Vindicta got a second chance of life when her spirit was brought back to the mortal plane during the first Maelstrom (the event that introduced the supernatural to the public at large).
Waging a one ghost war against the "The Friends of Humanity", a neo inquisition formed by Hawthorne's descendants; Vindicta looks to keep the supernatural safe from Hathorne’s ilk, and she isn't afraid to stack as many bodies as needed to do it.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Vindicta during Deadlock Pre-Alpha (Neon Prime) was named Hornet.
- Vindicta says she was a child during the Salem Witch Trials, as found in one of her hero select lines. This relates to the actual Salem Witch Trials as many of the girls were young, ranging from ages 9 to 20.[1]
- John Hathorne, who's mentioned in Vindicta's background, was known in the actual Salem Witch Trials for questioning accusers and the accused in trial, often leaving the accused guilty.
- Vindicta will occasionally hum the song "Simple Gifts" after getting a kill. This is a song that originated from the Shaker religion in the early 1800s.
- Vindicta and McGinnis are currently tied for the lowest base Stamina of any hero at 2.
