Infiltrates and disrupts the backline

With a powerful shotgun and a thin frame, Pocket relies on their ability to briefly escape into a mystic suitcase and teleport via a flying cloak in order to survive close encounters.

Pocket is a spiritual and mobile Hero with a powerful shotgun and highly mobile abilities, who thrives in close encounters. Channelling their magic briefcase to Barrage groups of enemies with spiritual bursts, Pocket may use their sentient cloak to teleport beside their targets and unload their shotgun; disappearing inside their Enchanter's Satchel to avoid return fire. In larger groups, they can unleash an Affliction to slowly eat away at their health, setting their enemies up for a devastating attack.

Background edit

Arin Fairfax, the eldest heir to Fairfax Industries, has been living in hiding for the past 5 years after being shot and left for dead on their 18th birthday. Arin doesn’t know who is trying to keep them from taking control of their parent’s company... but in the avarice fueled viper’s nest that is Fairfax Industries it could be anyone.

Taking on the name "Pocket", Arin desperately wants to keep their true identity a secret… not only for their own protection; but because they want to forge their own identity separate from their parents.

Trivia edit

  • Pocket during Deadlock Pre-Alpha (Neon Prime) was named Synth. They were also referred to as Fairfax in some voice lines.
  • In The Binding of Oathkeeper, Pocket's father Maximilian asks Geist where Pocket is.[1]
    • Pocket believes Maximilian was behind their attempted assassination,[2] and wants to keep their magic suitcase away from him.[3]
  • Pocket likely has at least one younger sibling, as their background calls them the "eldest heir" to Fairfax Industries.
  • Pocket's left arm, which is holding the suitcase, seems to have decayed skin tissue and glows with their suitcase. They have an eye tattoo in the back of their left hand.
  • Despite Pocket's desire to hide their true identity, the other characters seem to be aware of their background and refer to them as an "upstart",[4] a "trust fund baby"[5] and a "spoiled brat".[6]
  • Mo & Krill protected Pocket and regard them well.[7][8]
  • Pocket's appearance and magic suitcase are similar to Newt Scamander's from the Fastastic Beasts movie series.
