IS COMPONENT OF: Improved Burst |
Mystic Burst is a Tier 1 Spirit Item which grants a small Spirit Shield and a boost to Weapon Damage.
Mystic Burst has a Passive component, which causes the hero's abilities to deal bonus Spirit Damage if they dealt 80 damage or more in a single hit.
Mystic Burst is a component of Improved Burst.
It can be purchased from the Shop for 500.
Notes
- Heroes with Spirit Lifesteal will heal from Mystic Burst's passive effect triggering.
- A small lightning shock visual is applied to the enemy hero when it is hit by Mystic Burst's passive effect.
- In order to trigger the additional damage, the triggering spirit damage must exceed the threshold after damage reduction calculations, including spirit armor and damage reductions (e.g. from Inhibitor).
- Interaction with spirit shields: The triggering of the additional damage is entirely unaffected by the target's spirit shields (or lack thereof). The spirit resistance of the target is always taken into account when calculating whether the damage is above the triggering threshold.
- The additional damage, and the ability which triggered the additional damage, are applied to the target as separate instances of damage. The additional damage from Mystic Burst is dealt after the original spell damage. This has implications for abilities or effects that rely on single instances of damage, for example:
- Vindicta uses assassinate on an enemy Warden. The baseline Assassinate on its own is not enough damage to kill the Warden, but the increased damage (due to the additional damage from triggering Mystic Burst) is enough to secure the kill. Since the additional damage from triggering Mystic Burst is applied after the Assassinate, it is technically the item's damage which secures the kill, not the Assassinate. Thus, Vindicta will not receive bonus souls from Assassinate's passive.
