Spirit Power increases the effectiveness of your abilities and items. In addition to increasing Spirit Damage, spirit power can also increase miscellaneous ability attributes that aren't otherwise broadly covered by spirit stats. Spirit power is generally useful on all heroes but some will find it more useful than others due to specific scaling coefficients.

Obtaining Spirit Power

Spirit power can be found on items of every variety but is most common on spirit items. In addition to bonuses listed in the item itself, spirit items have implicit spirit power bonuses that correspond to their item tier.

Implicit Spirit Bonuses
Item Tier Spirit Power Bonus
1 4
2 8
3 12
4 16

Spirit power can also be granted by abilities such as Kelvin's Ice Path and Grey Talon's Guided Owl. A permanent Spirit Power increase can be obtained from Gold Urns.

Spirit Power Scaling

A box that says 79 damage in white text and a purple arrow and star indicating the damage is increased with spirit power.
The upward trending purple arrow and spirit star indicate this damage is increased by spirit power.

When an ability or item can be scaled by spirit power it will be indicated with a purple upward trending arrow and the spirit star icon. The effectiveness of spirit power on a given ability is based on its spirit power coefficient shown after the spirit scaling icon e.g. x.5. Using that spirit power coefficient, you can calculate spirit damage with the formula:

For example, Lash's Flog ability deals 65 base damage and has a spirit power coefficient of 1.2. In a case where it was being buffed by 20 spirit power, the calculation would be as follows:

In general this represents linear scaling, with the rate of increase being determined by the spirt power coefficient. In most cases, the spirit power coefficient can be obtained by hovering over the skill while pressing the Extra Info hotkey.

Be Warned: Obtaining exact calculations can be difficult because the spirit scaling values are rounded to the nearest tenth. This can lead to inaccurate calculations when trying to apply the above formula. In general, you can obtain good approximations of spirit power's affect on damage but exact calculations often require sandbox testing to obtain the un-rounded scaling values.

Hidden Spirit Power Coefficients

For Items, the spirit power coefficient isn't currently shown, making it difficult to determine if and how effectively they will scale. In general, if an item deals spirit damage, that damage will scale with spirit power. Other properties of items such as inflicting Fire Rate slow or negative Bullet Resist don't currently scale with spirit power, even if they are produced by a spirit item.

Since the spirit power coefficient on items is hidden it will have to be obtained via in-game testing when using spirit power. For example, equipping Tesla Bullets alongside Boundless Spirit which adds 76 total spirit power increases the spirit damage of Tesla Bullets from 30 to 40. Following the lookup formula:

It is possible to calculate the coefficient as:

However, rounding errors make this value slightly inaccurate when applying it with other spirit power values. Until the spirit scaling is shown in the tooltip for items in a similar fashion to abilities, this approximation technique is the only way to gauge the effectiveness of scaling spirit power for items.
