A Maelstrom is a magical event that brings the supernatural to the mortal world.

In 1899, the first Maelstrom impacted the world during an eclipse, bringing back dead spirits such as Vindicta and forever transforming Dynamo

50 years later, in the present day, a second Maelstrom is about to occur. Fighting is breaking out all over New York City (the Cursed Apple) to complete a complex ritual and summon a Patron to grant their wishes. Once again, the world is about to change…
