An Ability Point is used to level up a hero's abilities. This generally makes the abilities stronger and more versatile.
Leveling an ability requires varying amount of Ability Points for each subsequent level, requiring 1, 2, and 5 Ability Points respectively. When upgrading an ability, there is a brief window of time where the player can refund the upgrade.
Obtaining Ability Points
Ability points are gained by leveling up the hero via souls, or by completing the following objectives: Soul Urn, Walkers, and Shrines.
Delivering the Soul Urn will grant the courier 1 Ability Point in addition to souls.
A Walker or a Shrine being destroyed will grant each person on the team who destroyed it an Ability Point in addition to souls.
