Welcome to the Deadlock Wiki! This page is intended as an overall Guide to getting started with editing this wiki. In this guide, readers can learn about how to make their first edits, where to find resources for better edits, and what kinds of projects are ongoing that can be contributed too.

Always remember though, to Be Bold! Wikis become better and more comprehensive because of users that are willing to jump in and fix typos or mistakes everywhere they see

Quick Start edit

  1. Register an account on this wiki. You can do so here. This will make sure edits are attributed to you!
  2. Check out our Discord server at: https://discord.gg/deadlockgame - Visit the #wiki channel and say hi!
  3. Make your first edit! The easiest first edit to make is simply to fix a typo or a mistake.
    • Click the "Edit" button in the top-right of any page to open up the edit interface. Make the change, and click Save Changes.
    • Add a quick Summary so that other users can see what was changed and why.
  4. Try editing your Userpage! You can put just about anything there. Try copying page code from another userpage or page, and make some changes to see how it looks.
  5. Explore our editing guides once you are comfortable with basic edits.
    • Start with Help:Editing to brush up on wiki code or Help:Style guide to write pages in a similar style to everything else.
    • Pages like Mechanics always need more information from recent news posts or videos. Just be sure to make some references and links to official sources
  6. "Adopt" a page and make it as comprehensive and accurate as possible. Perhaps Pocket is your favorite character, or you have a passion for the Map. Whatever you choose, make it a page that you can be proud of!
