The two teams in the game are The Sapphire Flame and The Amber Hand, they serve opposing patrons that seek to be brought into the world.
Both groups are considered to be orders and were originally meant to safeguard the world from the Patrons and keep them on their home plain however it is thought that there are coups going on that have lead to both groups now trying to bring the Patrons into existence.
