Denizens (Or Neutral Creeps or Jungle Creeps) are a type of unit that are not controlled by any player. They are aligned to neither of the teams, and offer an alternative source of Souls.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Denizens appear in small camps scattered in the jungle on both sides of the map, each with different power levels. When killed, they grant a set amount of Souls to every player that damaged it, and do not release any Soul Orbs.

Denizens will spawn and respawn at varying times based on the size of the camp. The timer starts when the last creep is killed. The Mid-Boss, who sits in at the center of the map is also considered to be a neutral creep.

Types[edit | edit source]

There are a few different types of denizens which spawn in small groups inside of camps within the jungle. These camps are categorized into small, medium and large camps. Their levels are indicated by the arrows on the map. The number of underlines below the arrow indicates the enhanced strength of the camp.

Currently, there is no variation on the denizen types, as each camp has the exact same denizen model with varying levels of power.

Small Camps[edit | edit source]

Small denizens are the weakest of the neutral creeps. They spawn in at 2:00 and respawn 4 minutes after being cleared. Each small camp spawns 3 small creeps. They give little souls, deal low damage and have low health, making them easy to kill for any hero at any time of the game. These camps are indicated by a simple arrow on the map.

Medium Camps[edit | edit source]

Medium denizens are also relatively weak camps, but stronger than the small creeps. They spawn in at 5:00 and respawn 6 minutes after being cleared. They give more souls, deal moderate damage and have more health. There are 6 different spawn combinations of small and medium creeps between different medium camp locations. Some of them can be dealt with early on, but some may be too strong. These camps are indicated by a 'double arrow' icon.

Large Camps[edit | edit source]

Large denizens are the strongest of the regular camps. They spawn in at 8:00 and respawn 8 minutes after being cleared. They consist of 3 strong denizens with strong stats and are very difficult to deal with early on. These camps are indicated by a 'triple arrow' icon.

The Mid-Boss Camp[edit | edit source]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The current Denizen model is labeled neutral_drain_creature. There is an alternate Denizen model in the game files labeled neutral_barb_plant, with the appearance of a monstrous potted plant similar to Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors.
