Ability points are gained by [[Leveling Up|leveling up]] the hero via [[souls]], or by completing the following objectives: [[Soul Urn]], [[Walker]]s, and [[Shrine]]s. 

Leveling an ability requires varying amount of '''Ability Points''' for each subsequent level, requiring 1, 2, and 5 '''Ability Points''' respectively. It costs 32 ability points in total in order to max out all of the abilities in the hero's kit. When leveling an ability, there is a brief window of time where the player can refund the upgrade.

==Obtaining Ability Points==

The most common way to gain ability points is by leveling up. As all of the ability points needed to max out the hero's kit can be obtained from leveling up, any other method could be considered supplementary. However, it is still heavily recommended to complete these objectives, as it would make the process of maxing out all the abilities faster.

Delivering the [[Soul Urn]] will grant the courier 1 '''Ability Point''' in addition to [[souls]].

A [[Walker]] or a [[Shrine]] being destroyed will grant each person on the team who destroyed it an '''Ability Point''' in addition to [[souls]].
